DRAGONS’ Den star Deborah Meaden will do a guest performance to honour her late Strictly Come Dancing dance partner Robin Windsor, joining several of the show's dancers.
A theatre show called Celebrating Robin Windsor: The Final Act, will be performed at London's Theatre Royal Drury Lane on Sunday November 3.
The one-night show will pay tribute to the dancer, who died in February aged 44, and will feature guest performances from former Strictly Come Dancing stars Pasha Kovalev, Anya Garnis, Joanne Clifton, and Vincent Simone.
The show's former resident vocalist Lance Ellington will also perform.
It is being hosted by "Robin’s dear friends" actress Lisa Riley and Strictly Judge Anton Du Beke, created by Pasha Kovalev and Anya Garnis, and produced by Strictly Theatre Co.
All profits from the evening will go directly to SANE, which organisers said was a "charity close to Robin’s heart".
Deborah Meaden paid tribute to Robin in a post following his death in February, writing: "Robin was a good Man. He was kind and incredibly generous, supporting so many charities, helping so many people and giving so much of himself wherever he went.
"He lit up a room with his fun and energy and certainly his sparkle…he was never happier than when he was covered in crystals!. He was talented, clever ( a great partner for a quiz), and fun.
"He taught my Mother to dance for her 80th Birthday party and they whirled around the dance floor at her party….he knew how to make people feel good.
"He was also complex and human and open about the struggles of life after the limelight. I was lucky to have known you Robin, it’s hard to know you are gone."
Strictly star Pasha Kovalev spoke about the death of his friend Robin to ITV's Loose Women this week. He said: "I think everyone loved Robin. Anyone who ever met him loved him, he was just a big sweetheart.
“He was helping everyone and anyone. Before Strictly, during Strictly, after Strictly, and I met Robin (a) long time ago, we were on the same production… we were on Broadway touring the world.
“And then we were reunited on Strictly and we did a lot of dances together, a lot of projects together, (we) shared the stage a million times and, unfortunately, the news of his passing came as a huge shock to me – to all his friends.”
He added: “I think my first instinct was I wanted to cherish the time we had together with Robin. I would like to one more time get all the friends together. Speak about him. Remember how happy he was and his good days and go over the things he loved.”
According to the Robin Windsor website, he began dancing at the age of three when his parents enrolled him in classes in Ipswich and he went on to represent England in numerous championships at home and abroad.
