Residents at a nursing home in Frome shared an afternoon of sweet indulgence to celebrate World Ice Cream Day.
Frome Nursing Home residents, referred to as family members, enjoyed the sweet treats on July 17.
Cassie and Kat set up a personalised ice cream stall, serving classic vanilla ice cream with various toppings like chocolate or strawberry syrups.
There were cakes too to complement the other sweet treats, complete with Ice Cream Day decorations.
Becky Press, home manager, poked fun, saying: "Kat should never work in an ice cream parlour.
"Majority of the choc sauce went on my hand rather than the ice cream."
Resident David Hughes's wife Vicky said: "It's lovely, David hasn’t had an ice cream cornetto in a while, that's made him smile."
The event is part of their caring approach to adult social care, strengthening bonds among residents and staff.
