A SOMERSET cat was offered hope of finding love thanks to a bit of ‘flower power’ after being dumped on Valentine’s Day.
Mowgli Valentine was cruelly left outside the West Hatch RSPCA centre back in 2008 on the most romantic day of the year.
To raise his spirits in hope of finding a new forever home, animal care assistant, Eileen Wyse, had been testing out some recipes to help cheer him up and chill him out.
Eileen had been trying out remedies from the Bach Flower Foundation on a number of animals, including Mowgli, who she described as “an independent boy with a lot of character”.
Bach Flower essences are not ‘scientifically proven to work’, but the organisation provides 38 different remedies which help people deal with issues such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, muscle pain, and many other conditions.
Eileen said: “It (the remedy) works on the emotions by turning the negative into positive.
“It was founded by Dr Bach in the 1930s and is now used worldwide for treating both animals and humans.”
Eileen revealed that she hoped Mowgli could find a home where there were no children and no other pets.
If you would like to offer an animal like Mowgli a loving home, then you can find a pet with the RSPCA West Hatch Animal Centre by going to their website.
You can also visit the animals in person at the RSPCA West Hatch Animal Centre, West Hatch, Taunton TA3 5RT.
