WELL'S St Thomas Street will be closed once again later this month for telecom work to be carried out.
The street, near the historic Vicar's Close, was recently closed from July 29 to August 2 due to work by Wessex Water. It will close again on August 23 for four hours, from 10am until 2pm.
A Somerset Council notice reads: "Southwest Overhead Services to replace a frame and cover on behalf of Openreach. This closure will be in force between the hours of 10:00 and 14:00."
All traffic will be prohibited from proceeding along St Thomas Street, from the junction with North Road to the junction with Tor Street. A total distance of 437 metres.
A lengthy diversion will be in place through Shepton Mallet and back through South Horrington.
