A CARE home near Taunton has celebrated 35 years of serving the community.
Manor Care Home, located in Bishop Hull, often holds events for residents and people who live nearby, but this one held special significance.
The care home staff, residents and guests celebrated the occasion by enjoying a captivating afternoon of excellent live music.
Among the performing musicians were the Blackdown Acapella, featuring the home’s manager, while there was also a show from the residents’ choir with help from their teacher Marion.
The afternoon of music was then followed by a barbeque, buffet and celebratory drinks for everyone in the gardens of the care home.
A spokesperson for the care home said: “It was so amazing to have the local community, past residents and staff and families join us for our celebrations.”
The celebration was a testament to the excellent reputation which Manor Care Home, first opened in 1989, has built over the years within the local community.
General manager Helen Smith said: “It is important to recognise the hard work of our staff here at Manor Care Home.
“For the 35 years, we have provided a caring home for our residents as well as the best possible environment for our staff.
“Today not only enables us to celebrate their hard work, but it's also an opportunity to thank the residents, their relatives and friends who have made the Manor Care Home such a loving home.”
