Somerset Council plans to close a section of Alexandra Road, in Frome, so that a water connection can be installed.
The council proposes to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Alexandra Road, from 54 metres northwest of the junction with Summer Hill, northwestwards for a total distance of 42 metres.
The Order will enable Bristol Water to install the new water connection, and becomes effective on August 15, remaining in force for eighteen months.
Bristol Water's work is expected to take place over three days, from August 20 until August 22.
Further information on the alternative route can be found at https://one.network/?tm=139514279.
For information about the works being carried out, contact Bristol Water on telephone number 0345 702 3797 quoting reference number ttro027440E.
The council's Order is to be made under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
