Mind in Somerset (MiS) will continue to provide support for young people throughout the summer holidays.

The youth safe space service, which started in May, is an out-of-hours health support scheme for 13 to 25-year-olds struggling with their mental health.

Young people can make one-to-one appointments to see trained staff between 6.30pm and 11pm at either the Taunton or Yeovil wellbeing hubs.

Taunton operates on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday.

Yeovil offers Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.

Vicky Poole, fundraising manager at MiS, said: "We teach de-escalation techniques to reduce anxiety and stress.

"We also help with safety planning and healthy coping mechanisms.

"Young people can book up to four safe space appointments across two months, and in the following appointments we will be using a young person-led, strengths-based approach to link in with the right level of support at the right time."
