YEOVIL MP Adam Dance will be meeting his constituents at King George Street in Yeovil on Saturday (August 24) from 10am until 12.30pm.

Mr Dance was elected as the Liberal Democrat MP in July, beating former Conservative Marcus Fysh by a majority of 12,268.

Local residents will be invited to come and chat with Mr Dance in an informal setting.

They will have the chance to raise any question or concerns, giving the MP a chance to provide answers and responses to any uncertainties.

Mr Dance is eager to meet with constituents, in order to have full understanding of all want and needs when setting up his office in Yeovil.

He aims to hold regular surgeries across South Somerset as a whole, hoping that this frequent communication will help to improve the livelihood of all residents.

After he was elected, he said: “It's a real privilege to be representing this constituency where I grew up. To follow in the footsteps of Paddy (Ashdown) and David (Laws).

“I plan to be an agent for change at Westminster and to rebuild the confidence of this community in their MP.

“The first thing I'm really looking forward to doing is actually having a constituency office which is open for residents to come in and have conversations with their MP and their staff.”

Under the constituency's new boundaries, the constituency does not include the villages between Podimore and the northern edge of Yeovil, which are now a part of the new Glastonbury and Somerton Seat.
