A MAN has died in a two-vehicle crash on the A361 near Taunton.
Police were called to the incident at 6:45pm on Friday, near East Lyng, and tragically a man passed away at the scene.
Avon and Somerset Police said in a statement: "We were called at 6.45pm on Friday 16 August following a two-vehicle collision on the A361 in East Lyng, near Taunton.
"Sadly, a man died at the scene. His family is being offered support by a specially-trained family liaison officer.
"We would like to express our sincere condolences to his loved ones at this very difficult time.
"The A361 was closed in both directions while emergency services attended. We would like to thank motorists for their patience and understanding."
