A SOMERSET MP has revealed his favourite tourist destination in Somerset revealing the area as “Somerset’s crown.”
Ashley Fox is the MP for Bridgwater and recently visited Brean, one of Somerset’s most iconic coastal destinations.
The MP met with some local tourism leaders and discussed the future of the area’s tourism industry.
Ashley said: "As the MP for Brean I am fully committed to supporting our local tourism industry.
“Brean is a jewel in Somerset's crown, offering a unique blend of attractions that cater to everyone.
“The businesses here are the backbone of our local economy, and I am dedicated to helping them showcase everything that Brean has to offer as one of the top tourist destinations in the region.”
Brean, located within the Bridgwater constituency, is home to some of Somerset’s most beloved family attractions, offering a wide range of activities and experiences for visitors of all ages.
With scenic beaches and a variety of places to eat, the seaside village has established itself as a premier destination for holidaymakers in the south west.
One popular attraction in the area is Brean Leisure Park, a theme park for people of all ages.
Ashley met with Alan from Holiday Resort Unity and Sue from Sunningcrest Caravan Park to talk about the significant contributions these businesses make to the local economy and the broader Somerset region.
Alan said: “We were pleased to meet Ashley and discuss how vital tourism is to the local economy.
“We look forward to working with Ashley as our MP.”
