PLANNING permission has been granted for new units at a 40-acre mixed-use business park in Wellington.

Westpark 26 comes with a huge chance to create more job opportunities in the local area.

At the business park, there will be 16 brand-new energy-efficient units across the plot of land, with each unit ranging from 1,750 square feet to 30,000 square feet offering an opportunity to new or expanding businesses looking to join the location.

The new units offer possibilities to countless occupiers including food production, gyms, engineering, trade counters, scientific laboratories and more.

Each unit is “designed with flexibility in mind”, with owners and tenants having the opportunity to combine space by omitting dividing walls, adding mezzanine floors or creating office space to suit their needs.

Westpark 26 has good connectivity as it is just 1.5 miles from Junction 26 of the M5 motorway, providing easy access to transport routes.

MK Test Systems currently occupies the ATE House at Westpark 26.

Jason Evans, Managing Director at MK Test Systems said: “We relocated to ATE House on Westpark in 2018 and Summerfield Commercial installed our mezzanine to create our office space.

“Westpark 26 is our global headquarters, all our departments operate from this main hub, and provide support to our regional hubs in the US and Hong Kong.

“The flexibility of the business park also allowed us to house our innovation centre adjacent to ATE House, in Unit B5, where we have an extensive and modern R&D lab as well as our dedicated customer demo area.”
