A FOUR-DAY temporary closure has been issued for Marston Lane in Frome in order to conduct essential roadworks.
The order, issued by Somerset Council, will prohibit all traffic from proceeding along Marston Lane from the junction with Cranmore View to the junction with Critchill Road.
The blocked stretch covers a total distance of 185 metres.
It was revealed in a public notice posted on the Public Notice Portal on August 22.
Openreach, telecommunications service provider, will use this period to lay duct.
The works are scheduled to commence on September 9 and last until September 12, between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm.

The decision to close the road was made for two key reasons, mentioned in a statement by the chief executive, Duncan Sharkey.
It was deemed necessary due to the planned works, as well as the potential for danger to the public or serious damage to the road.
