A PUBLIC forum will take place to help shape the future of policing in Somerset.
The event, hosted by Avon and Somerset police and crime commissioner (PCC) Clare Moody, will be attended by officers from the local neighbourhood policing team.
It will be held at Taunton Rugby Club in Hyde Lane on Wednesday, September 11 at 6pm.
You can sign up to attend HERE.
Ms Moody (Labour) was elected as the force's police and crime commissioner in May, defeating Conservative Mark Shelford, who had held the role since 2021.
A spokesperson for the police and crime commissioner said: "As your PCC, Clare Moody has a duty to create a Police and Crime Plan that is the blueprint for how policing will operate for the next five years, and this is your chance to contribute to the conversation.
"This is your opportunity to help shape how policing is delivered in your area, share your ideas on what would work in your community, and find out more about the consultation on your council tax and police funding.
"Sign up today and be a part of shaping a safer, more effective policing strategy for Somerset."
Parking is available at the venue, which is also wheelchair accessible.
People with additional accessibility requirements are encouraged to contact OPCCMedia@avonandsomerset.police.uk to ensure they can fully participate in the event.
This forum comes as Ms Moody seeks public input from each of the force's five local authority areas—Bath and North East Somerset, Bristol, North Somerset, Somerset, and South Gloucestershire—on how police, communities, and partners can collaborate to meet her Police and Crime Plan draft priorities.
