A RESIDENT in Taunton has found a “missing pet” in the town.
A guinea pig with a "white head and mousy brown fur” has been found near Castle School.
A Facebook user has posted on the platform to let people know of the whereabouts of the missing furry friend.
The guinea pig was spotted in a hedge next to the cycle path behind the school.
They also posted a what3words location for where the pet was found: helps.safety.span.
The what3words app can be used to find exact locations. If you are given a what3words code, you can open the app, then tap 'Navigate' and select 'Google Maps' to get directions,
Commenting on the social media post, one user said: “If anyone has a pet carrier full of hay the guinea pig may go into it.
“This is because hay is 80 per cent of their diet.
“Taking a pet carrier is a good idea too as it’s plastic and it may feel secure in there.”
Another user commented: "Poor little piggy!"
