A DOCTOR Who artist will be travelling through time and space to visit Taunton for The Museum of Somerset's Sci-Fi Saturday this weekend.
Jeff Cummins, an illustrator from the North Wales Coast, will be visiting Taunton's Museum of Somerset on Saturday, September 7.
He is best known for his paintings of Bruce Lee for Kung Fu Monthly (1970s), Record covers for Paul McCartney, (70s-80s), and Brit Pop band Silver Sun, (90s), but also Doctor Who Target and Virgin books.
Some of his Doctor Who work is hanging at the "Adventures in Time and Space: 60 Years of Doctor Who Art" exhibition at the Museum of Somerset.
Jeff told the Gazette: "I'll be bringing along prints of my new work, plus some old Doctor Who 'classics' too. I'm really looking forward to coming down to the museum and Taunton."
The artist first painted a Dalek aged just ten, on his bedroom wall.
He said: "In recent years, I returned home to live in the house where I grew up and whilst redecorating, unearthed that 60-year-old prophetic Dalek!"
The visit is part of the Museum of Somerset's Sci-Fi Saturday events, it stated: "The Museum force fields are coming down for Sci-Fi Saturdays so that Sci-Fi fans of all ages can celebrate and share their favourite shows and characters.
"Dress in your most impressive costume for a true Sci-Fi singularity."
A book of Jeff's work "The Invisible Artist" was published by Candy Jar Books in Cardiff, and a new special edition "Outside the Box" featuring just his Doctor Who illustrations is soon to be launched - including brand new Doctor Who artworks.
