TAUNTON'S Community Review - a survey which informs community groups, organisations and the town council about the issues that matter most to residents - has launched this week.
This is an initiative from the Community Council for Somerset (CCS) and is supported with funding from Somerset Council on behalf of Somerset Association of Local Councils (SALC).
Councillor Tom Deakin, leader of the town council said: "We have worked hard in collaboration with the Community Council for Somerset, both to identify the hot topics for our residents and how to target the survey so that we get the widest possible range of responses.
"Although not all issues highlighted by the Community Review will fall under the town council's immediate jurisdiction, we commit to collaborating with the relevant organisations to address what we can and support them in their efforts."
The survey, designed to take around 10 minutes to complete, will to run until October 2.
While intended mainly for residents, Mr Deakin confirmed that the views and experiences of those who visit Taunton, whether for work or leisure, are also welcome.
He expressed the council's hopes to gain a broad spectrum of opinions to better shape the town's future.
The results are due for release in late 2024.
