A YOUNG driver from a village near Shepton Mallet has been banned from getting behind the wheel after being caught drug driving.
Callum Docherty, 21, of Alhampton, pleaded guilty to driving with a proportion of ketamine above the specified limit in his blood.
Yeovil Magistrates' Court heard the offence took place in Wincanton on March 29 this year.
Docherty was fined £400 and ordered to pay £85 Crown Prosecution Service costs along with a £160 victim surcharge.
He was disqualified from driving for 12 months.
