FROME'S Christchurch Street East will be temporarily closed later this month to allow Openreach workers to "clear a blockage".
The A362 through the centre of Frome is expected to be closed from Tuesday, September 24 at 7pm, until 6am on Wednesday, September 25.
Openreach is a network supplier, meaning the blockage is likely to refer to a blocked network cable.
All traffic will be prohibited from proceeding along Christchurch Street East for a distance of 123 meters, from the junction with Christchurch Street West to the junction with Blindmans Lane.
The Public Notice can be viewed here, along with the lengthy diversion route.
The official diversion will take drivers along the A361 to Shepton Mallet, then up through Radstock and back to the north of Frome on the A362.
