IT is believed a shoplifter stole a total of at least 200 items of cosmetics from Tesco during four incidents.

Kelly Sheppard, 48, pleaded guilty to four counts of theft at Taunton Magistrates’ Court.

The bench was told she took around 70 items valued at approximately £560 from the Taunton store in January 3 this year.

Six days earlier, she stole 57 cosmetic items worth about £500 from the same store.

Sheppard, of Wedgwood Close, Whitchurch, also admitted shoplifting 57 cosmetic products from Tesco, in Paulton, priced at £310, on January 26, as well as a number of cosmetic items valued at £280 from the same store two days earlier.

She was remanded on unconditional bail for a pre-sentence report and will be sentenced in October 21.
