Four Butlin's team members from Minehead took on the Three Peaks Challenge and raised over £22,000 for Great Ormond Street Hospital.

The challenge, which involves climbing the three highest peaks in Scotland, England, and Wales—Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike, and Snowdon—was completed by four workers in just 24 hours.

This unforgettable feat comprised a total walking distance of 23 miles (37km) and a total ascent of 3,064 metres (10,052ft).

The team was supported by family, friends, and colleagues, who encouraged them during their preparations and donated generously.

Various fundraising events were organised, including collections during Big Weekender breaks, step challenges, quiz nights, family fun days, bake sales, and raffles.

The funds raised will contribute directly to a new world-leading Children’s Cancer Centre at Great Ormond Street Hospital, a facility designed to improve outcomes for children with cancer.

Butlin’s Minehead general manager Mike Harrison said: "It has been a privilege to see the team who took on the Three Peaks challenge finish in such high spirits.

"What they have achieved for themselves and for Great Ormond Street Hospital is truly amazing and the team should be proud of themselves.

"The Minehead volunteers were incredible in their efforts in getting prepared for the challenge and the donations they raised for children with cancer.

"What they achieved will have a lasting effect."

Since 2015, Butlin's has partnered with Great Ormond Street Hospital, and team members from Bognor Regis, Minehead, Skegness, and Hemel Hempstead have united for various fundraising efforts.
