A special screening of Tim Burton’s classic Edward Scissorhands is coming to the Minehead Regal this month.
Matthew Bourne's dance version will be shown on Wednesday, September 25 at 6.30pm.
Filmed live in March 2024 at the Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff, the production features the music of Danny Elfman and Terry Davies.
The story follows Edward, a boy created by an eccentric inventor, who is left alone and unfinished with only scissors for hands after his creator’s death.
A kind townswoman invites him to live with her suburban family.
The production stars New Adventures dancers Liam Mower as Edward and Ashley Shaw as Kim.
With a running time of 94 minutes, the show is described as "visually arresting and ceaselessly inventive" and is said to be "the perfect treat for all the family".
Tickets for Edward Scissorhands cost £15.50, Film Society members/Regal Theatre Friends £14.00, students/ES40s £13, under 14s £10.
Numbered seats may be booked in advance online and at the Minehead Regal box office by calling 01643 706430 between 9.30am and 12.00pm, Monday to Saturday.
The Minehead Regal bar will be open for refreshments from 6pm.
