A PUB near Taunton has created a new cider brand for people to try in Somerset.
The Allerford Inn has been taken over this month after former owners Tim and Tom Adams, who were there for more than 10 years, left the business.
The cider has been branded with a Deer as the logo, representing the pub’s emblem.
Speaking about the new drink, the owners of the Allerford Inn said: “How many pubs have their own cider brand?
“We have chosen the stag as our pub emblem. Allerford is a beautiful little village in Exmoor.
“There are six species of deer established in the wild in the UK. They are the Red, Roe, Fallow, Sika, Muntjac and Chinese Water Deer.
“Only the Red Deer and Roe are truly native. What better represents the Moorland than a stag? Will be available from October 2, 2024.”
One customer, via Facebook, said: “And very lovely cider it is too... sampled a couple of pints at Taunton Flower Show! “
The cider has changed since the Taunton Flower Show two months ago, with the Allerford Inn replying: “Hi, this is a new recipe that has not yet been introduced to the public.
"You will have to pop along to try it!”
The Allerford Inn is a “gorgeous country pub” in Norton Fitzwarren.
The new cider brand is part of what seems to be a massive revamp at the Allerford Inn, with new windows and roof repairs being made in early September.
You can find the Allerford Inn at Norton Fitzwarren, Taunton, TA4 1AL.
