THE West Somerset Brass Band is recruiting new members ahead of a busy Christmas period.
The band, which has been a cornerstone of the local music scene since 1952, is offering a welcoming space for anyone interested in learning or rediscovering a brass instrument.
Individuals of all ages and abilities are welcome to sign up for the band that performs every week.
Rehearsals are every Friday from 6:30 pm-7:20 pm at the Methodist Church Hall in Watchet.
The band plays a wide range of music, from classical to pop by the likes of Taylor Swift, Adele, and Elvis.
Subscriptions are £10 per term and for that an instrument (if required), music, stand and uniform are provided – as is, of course, expert tuition!
Training Band and Learner Group Leader Claire Whitworth is encouraging anyone interested to give it a go.
Claire said: "Our learner groups are open to all, even if you've never played before.
"It's a fun and friendly way to get involved.
"If you're interested or just curious- then drop the band an email at westsomersetbrass@gmail.com, they'd love to hear from you!"
