A PRIMARY school in Taunton has officially unveiled new equipment for its playground.

Lyngford Park Primary have officially opened their new Safe Play Trim Trail after 12 months of planning and children are now enjoying the new equipment installed by Fawn.

It is designed to help improve core strength, agility, coordination, stamina, concentration and problem solving for our younger members of our school.

Children have been taught how to use it safely and they are now able to test themselves on the challenging assault course.

Headteacher Nick Arnold, said: "We are delighted to finally have this for our younger members of our school.

“Children in the nursery can use parts of it and are enjoying it.

“Our reception and Key Stage 1 children love challenging themselves - their playtimes have become even more enjoyable.

"With the Nursery having a complete internal refurbishment, and with new outdoor renovations nearing completion, and with all the other school improvements taking place in the classroom and across the site, we are all proud of how our school continues to improve.

“Children are happy here and they certainly flourish."
