A NEW retro arcade is set to open in Taunton's town centre, offering "a route back in time and endless fun".
Continue Arcades hopes to open the "free-play" arcade at 36-38 East Street before Christmas. Opening hours are planned to be 11 am until 11 pm daily.
It will cost £12 to enter the arcade, where customers can then free-play on any machine in the gaming lounge, with "no time limits, restrictions, or additional costs".
Continue Arcades' plan for the venue states: "It will be just £12 to enter and our guests can stay and play on whatever they like.
"We are already open in Plymouth and we have become a popular option for families, teens, date night couples and those looking for a bit of nostalgia."
It will offer one, two, and four-player games, and promises to be "the most fun on the high street".
The arcade in Plymouth, on 4-6 Royal Parade, sees around 135 guests a day on average and Taunton's arcade is hoped to have 99 guests a day on average, the owners state.
Continue Arcades is owned by Austin Wood, born and raised in Plymouth. He also owns a Tour Company in Florida, USA.
