Victoria Grove in Shepton Mallet will close for one day for jetting works.
The closure, from the junction with Charlton Road northwards for 240 metres, will take place on Thursday, October 10, from 8am to 5pm.
It is being enforced by Somerset Council under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
This was revealed in a public notice posted on the Public Notice Portal on September 19.
Works will be carried out by Kier on behalf of Somerset Highways.
The council said the order is being made for the safety of the public and to prevent serious damage to the road.
