A PLAQUE has been unveiled at a Somerset school that recently celebrated 19 ‘Outstanding’ years of care.
Fiveways Special School in Yeovil received a positive rating after an inspection in June, which meant the LA maintained school has upheld its Outstanding rating for the 19th consecutive year.
Staff and students celebrated earlier this week and were praised by Sir Martyn Oliver, His Majesty’s Chief Inspector.
The event included refreshments and a welcome from Fiveways sixth form students at 9.30am.
There was a tour of the school and a celebration assembly.
The Lord Lieutenant of Somerset, Mohammed Sadiq, also attended the event and unveiled a plaque during the celebration assembly.
Headteacher, Swavek Nowakiewicz, also welcomed the leader of Somerset Council, Bill Revans.
