A PUB near Taunton that had been “failing” has been saved by a group of locals.
The Old Inn, Bishop’s Hull, has been struggling for a while now, with the situation described as a “last-chance saloon”.
But, cometh the hour, a group of locals have banded together to get the community together again and support the well-loved boozer.
Seven residents have come together to form the new ownership at the village’s pub.
The new owners have “many exciting plans” to revamp the pub including takeaway food, a café, themed nights and more.
You can find the pub at Bishops Hull Rd, Bishop's Hull, TA1 5EG.
It is thought the opening/closing times for the brewery will remain the same. However, these timings may change if that’s what people want.
After the takeover, the owners said: “We have so many exciting plans to get this community together again.
“This is not just going to be the local boozer, there’s going to be takeaway food, a café, day clubs, team clubs, bingo, entertainment and theme nights.
“It’s going to be the place to party or just to chill with friends. Just bare with us, it will take some time to get this running.
“BUT we want you to have your say, all suggestions will be considered. Message us with your ideas, we are doing this for YOU!”
