TAUNTON star bakers could be in with a chance to compete on The Great British Bake Off as applications for the new series open.
Casting directors for season 16 of The Great British Bake Off have called for Taunton bakers to apply, posting to Taunton Matter's Facebook group.
An employee of Love Productions shared: "CALLING TAUNTON! Are you a star baker or know someone who is? Applications for The Great British Bake Off series 16 are now OPEN!

The deadline for application is Monday, December 9. Filming will be "up to 21 days over ten weeks" between April and August 2025.
In 2016, Somerton's Val Stones, 73, a former primary school head teacher, won the hearts of the nation after appearing on series 7 of the Great British Bake Off.
Since then her career as a baker has blossomed and Val has released her first cookbook, The Cake Whisperer, containing 52 tried and tested recipes.
