1. The Very Hungry Caterpillar

(Image: Hannah Harrison) Witness Eric Carle’s colourful and imaginative stories come to life on stage from October 18-19, with faithful adaptations of four beloved children's classics: Brown Bear, 10 Little Rubber Ducks, The Very Lonely Firefly, and of course, The Very Hungry Caterpillar. Featuring over 70 puppets, this critically acclaimed production will be a visual experience for audiences of all ages.

2. Little Red Riding Could

(Image: Hannah Harrison) Expect the unexpected with Little Red Riding Could (October 19), a different retelling of the classic fairy tale. Red Riding Hood isn’t so little anymore, and she’s done with wearing a hood. In fact, she’s questioning everything. Created by the Bristol-based Roustabout Theatre, this "mischievous" new show is packed with songs and silliness, challenging traditional storytelling and encouraging audiences to write their own story.

3. "The Amazing Bubble Man"

(Image: Hannah Harrison) The Brewhouse will also be welcoming back family favourites including; "The Amazing Bubble Man" who returns to the Brewhouse stage on October 27. A Brewhouse spokesperson said: "This popular show has been wowing audiences for over 30 years, with artist Louis Pearl performing to sell-out crowds worldwide. With breath taking bubble tricks, comedy, and audience participation, this interactive performance is brimming with wonder."

4. The Trash Test Dummies

(Image: Hannah Harrison) Also returning to the Taunton stage are The Trash Test Dummies (October 28-29). Hailing from the land ‘Down Under’, they deliver a dump truck of slapstick comedy, acrobatics, and juggling. These "highly skilled" Aussies take audiences on an imaginative, trash-themed adventure, providing an introduction to the world of comedy-circus.

5. Dear Zoo

(Image: Hannah Harrison) Rod Campbell’s best-selling lift the flap book Dear Zoo leaps from page to stage in mid November (November 16-17), brought to life through character acting, lots of animal puppets, music and audience interaction. Catch this show before the theatre is transformed into a winter wonderland for a Christmas adaptation of Pinocchio coming December 4 - 29.
