NATIONAL Highways is closing the M5 from junction 26 to 28 overnight to carry out resurfacing works.
Junction 26 is Wellington, and Junction 28 is Willand and Cullompton. Both the northbound and southbound carriageways will be closed while the work takes place.
Starting tonight (Wednesday, October 2) until Saturday (October 5), the road will be closed overnight from 9pm until 6am each night.
A diversion will be in place via the A38 and the B3181. This is part of planned resurfacing works on the M5.
A notice on the National Highways website alerts drivers of the closure, it says: "M5 southbound Jct 26 to 28 carriageway closure 03/10/2024 from 21:000 to 6am overnight until 5/10/20240 at 6:00
"Overall Scheme Details: M5 southbound Jct 26 to 28 carriageway closure for resurfacing works. Diversion via the A38 and B3181."
