DRIVERS will be welcomed to Wellington with new-look road signs.
The town council has announced the signs, such as this one on Taunton Road near the Lidl supermarket, have been upgraded and installed thanks to local firm RW Gale.
A Wellington Town Council spokesperson said: "Welcome to Wellington!
"After years of back and forth we are pleased to see these updated signs reinstated on the main entrances to town.
"Some of the smaller signs, such as on the approach to Cades Farm from Chelston, will be reinstated over the next couple of days.
"We would like to thank K S Coles for agreeing to have a new sign installed on their land and RW Gale for their work in installing these signs."
The signs were installed just in time for the town's carnival, which took place on Saturday, September 28 and saw thousands of people lining the streets to watch the stunning procession, which forms part of the South Somerset Federation.
