A HIGH impact crash in Taunton has left a car's front right side seriously damaged in a night-time incident.
Happening near Eastwick Road around 8.45pm, a Hyundai i10 was involved in a collision that ripped off its right side-view mirror and totalled its front right wheel.
A road closure was put in place on Eastwick Road both ways after the incident occurred.
Three police cars were at the scene of the late night crash, blocking off the recently resurfaced Obridge Viaduct.
Continued works on the Obridge Viaduct are still set to take place tomorrow as planned.
At 9.15pm, the car was pictured being hoisted up to be towed away by a recovery vehicle along with one other car.
Another vehicle pictured at the scene was a Mercedes e-class w211, but it is unconfirmed if it was involved in the incident.
The police have been approached for a statement on the incident.
