POLICE are appealing for witnesses or dashcam footage after a van and lorry collided on the A371 in Castle Cary, closing the road for an hour and a half.
The rush hour crash on Cary Hill, between Castle Cary and The Newt, took place at 7.15am on Monday, October, 7, with the van driver treated by an ambulance crew at the scene. No serious injuries were reported.
Avon and Somerset Police said in a statement: "A collision on the A371 at Cary Hill between a van and a lorry travelling in opposite directions was reported to us at approximately 7.15am today (Monday 7 October).
"The ambulance service treated the van driver, who was able to return home.
“The road was closed while emergency services attended and recovery work completed. It was reopened at about 8.45am.
“Witnesses, or anyone with dashcam, is asked to contact us online or on 101 and quote log number 161 of 7 October.”
