The Environment Agency has issued a yellow 'be prepared' warning for rivers in East Somerset from this afternoon.
The alert, for Monday October 7 says flooding is possible - be prepared on rivers Yeo from Sherborne to Yeovil, River Wriggle, Barwick Stream, West Coker Stream and the River Cam.
The warning comes after the Met Office issued a yellow weather warning for thunder, coming into place from 7.30pm until 9.30pm on Monday.

The Environment Agency website said: "River levels are rising steadily on the river Yeo at Sherborne Lake river gauge following Sunday’s rainfall. Other rivers in the area could also respond to further rain forecast on Monday evening. Flooding of roads and low lying land is possible, property flooding is not expected. Flooding is possible from 6pm on 07/10/2024.
"Areas most at risk are low lying land and roads near the rivers. We are monitoring rainfall and river levels and closely monitoring the situation.
"Monitor local water levels and weather conditions and avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses.
That message was sent at around 8am on Monday and will be updated by 6.pm on October 7, or as the situation changes.
