A band of West Country musicians will come together for a fundraising concert in aid of The Brain Tumour Charity.
The event, featuring brand new songs by Somerset singers and songwriters, will take place at Roadwater Village Hall in Watchet on November 2.
It has been organised by musician Danny McEvoy, a singer, guitarist, and composer of several musicals, including Little Ships, which was staged at the Barnfield Theatre in Exeter last year.
Mr McEvoy was inspired to raise funds for The Brain Tumour Charity in memory of his eldest son, who died of a brain tumour.
The proceeds from the concert will be shared equally between the performers and the charity.
Mr McEvoy said: "I’m privileged to know a super bunch of musicians who have volunteered to work with me on this project.
"We often get together to share our new songs and I always come away with new inspiration and greater energy.
"I hope that we will have the same effect on the people who come to support us and most importantly support research into brain tumours.
"The concert will be a lot of fun, showcasing many different types and styles of music, from rock to blues to folk and some musical theatre.
"Some of the songs are quite unique in their structure and style.
"We will encourage audience participation, so if you like to dance and join in the occasional chorus, then this is the concert for you.
"If you don’t want to sing, then sitting quietly and enjoying the wonderful music is also permitted.
"Oh, and everyone will be offered a free glass of Danny’s legendary plum wine, until it runs out."
Artists taking part in the concert include Foxwillow, Mary and the Faeries, Martin Cassini, Jules and Arwen, and Mr McEvoy himself.
Mr McEvoy added: "I hope people will enjoy some fantastic original music while supporting an important cause.
"Funding research into brain tumours is so important."
Tickets for the concert are priced at £10, with £5 from every sale going to The Brain Tumour Charity.
There will also be a bar, with half of all profits also going to the charity.
Anoushka Baker, community fundraiser at The Brain Tumour Charity, continued: "We are blown away by the efforts of Danny and his fellow musicians, and wish them all the best for their event.
"Brain tumours are the biggest cancer killer of the under 40s and, unlike other cancers, survival rates have not improved over the last 40 years.
"We are leading the way in changing this and truly fighting brain tumours on all fronts through our work."
