RECONSTRUCTION work has begun on a road near Taunton as the Somerset Council continue planned works to resurface roads.
The road closure is on a stretch of the A303 near South Petherton and Ilminster - with "delays likely".
A five-day road closure was announced today (October 16) until October 21 at 6am.
The road will be closed both ways whilst the resurfacing work takes place.
In summary, the A303 carriageway is being "reconstructed and repaired", whilst the A303 in both directions remains closed, Southfields roundabout, Ilminster to Hayes End roundabout, South Petherton, and the A303 carriageway will be resurfaced.
In terms of diversion routes, light vehicle diversion is via Ilminster and Seavington St Michael.
HGVs heading eastbound can use any diversion route via A358, A38, A361 and A372 to Podimore; reverse for westbound.
