Comedian and Mock the Week star Lucy Porter is heading to Taunton with her new show, No Regrets.

She will be performing at The Brewhouse on Thursday, November 2.

The show, which focuses on the theme of regret, promises to offer an intimate look into Ms Porter's life, with a myriad of personal anecdotes.

Ms Porter, who has found fame on various UK panel shows, has her share of regrets, and she is not shy about sharing them.

From disastrous dates and professional mishaps to parenting blunders, she offers a candid reflection on her life experiences.

The show also encourages the audience to ponder collective societal regrets, like failing to maintain a work-life balance post-lockdown, and the eventual realisation that clapping for the NHS did not equate to saving it.

Regret, guilt, and shame are intertwined themes in Ms Porter's life, and she explores these feelings with her characteristic dry wit.

However, the show is not all about negativity.

Ms Porter suggests that regret can serve as a catalyst for change, a viewpoint that can lead to personal growth.

She shares her own life lessons, including the importance of learning to say "no" more often, a skill she has yet to master despite her commitment to being the Hook a Duck Lady at her children's school fete.

Ms Porter's multifaceted career encompasses acting, writing, voiceover work, and podcasting.

She is a familiar face on British television, having appeared on popular panel shows such as QI, Have I Got News for You, and Would I Lie to You.

Her acting credits include a role in BBC1’s Eastenders and a successful stage performance of One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest in Edinburgh and London.

Ms Porter is also a quiz enthusiast, having hosted the successful podcast Fingers on Buzzers and become the Celebrity Mastermind ‘Champion of Champions’.

When asked if Taunton's Brewhouse has any significance her, she said: "My husband's family live in Taunton and they are fitness instructors.

"When I stay there I get to go and have a little workout with Rosemary at Nutbeam Farmhouse, which is where she does all her personal training and fitness classes.

"When I'm there I realise how unfit I've become while I'm on tour.
