A TAUNTON pub is offering entertainment after the Taunton Carnival finishes, with "The King of Rock and Roll" set to perform live.
The Racehorse Inn, Taunton, has hosted dozens of live music acts before but the owners say that this act is one that you'll not want to miss.
An Elvis tribute act is expected to be performing from 10pm, as an afterparty option for those attending the Taunton Carnival tomorrow (October 19), but punters are urged to get there earlier to get the best seats.
The pub is hosting Elvis as a free event but any donations to support The Racehorse Inn are appreciated.
Speaking about tomorrow, a spokesperson for The Racehorse Inn said: "This'll be an absolute stormer!
"Come and embrace The Elvis Experience after Taunton's fantastic carnival festivities this weekend."
The pub is open every day from 12pm-11pm.
Well-known for trying to engage with its customer base since new owners took over, the Taunton pub also hosts a fun pub quiz every Wednesday that you can enter for £1.
There are music and picture rounds and teams compete to win a cash prize.
Online the Racehorse Inn is rated a total of 3.5 out of 5 on Tripadvisor – with several people praising the pub for its value and service.
One user commented after the reopening in late 2023: “Pub just opened I used to come here years ago.
“This is a traditional pub but it's very spacious.
“It's doing live music so it was very busy, but it was fun. A traditional feel with live TVs, pool table, fruit machine and modern jukebox.”
One user wasn’t so happy about the pub and made it very clear online saying: “Whoever owns this place needs to send a manager to assess the current situation.
“Tragic management here, I walked in and my feet stuck to the floor, the barman was not on this planet, this place is doomed as it is.
“Such a shame.”
