A CRASH has occurred near Wellington forcing a road closure that is near the A38.
The incident is on Wrangcombe Road, where a road closure has been put in both ways between Brimstone Lane and Higher Woodford Lane.
There are currently delays in place on Wrangcombe Road after emergency services were reported at the scene.
The incident comes after a difficult day of travelling in and around Wellington, with heavy traffic holding up most vehicles on the M5 near Junction 26.
The M5 delay stretched from near Burlescombe to just past Cullompton.
AA's live traffic roadmap recommended that drivers add an additional 20 minutes to their journey due to "serious delays" today (October 18) on the M5.
A spokesperson from the Avon and Somerset police said: "We attended a two-vehicle collision in Wrangcombe Road, near Wellington, after being called at about 2:10pm this afternoon.
“One person was taken to hospital with an injury not considered to be life-threatening, while a second received treatment at the scene from paramedics.
“Recovery work has been completed and the road was cleared at about 5:15pm.”
