POLICE thanked the public after arresting a 34-year-old Frome man who was wanted for failing to attend court.
The force was "assisted" by information provided by the public after putting out an appeal to find Matthew Grist, who has links to Frome.
He was arrested in Frome on Friday, October 18. The first police appeal to locate Grist was put out on Friday, July 5.
Avon and Somerset Police said in a statement: "Earlier today officers arrested 34-year-old Matthew Grist in Frome.
"We have previously issued appeals for information about his whereabouts after he failed to attend court.
"Thank you to all who have assisted us with our enquiries."
The public was asked to call 999 if they saw Grist, described as "white, approximately 6ft tall, of large build, with short, dark hair, blue eyes, and a long beard and moustache".
