THE results have been announced for the 57th Annual Procession at Taunton Carnival 2024.

This year, the event took place on the evening of Saturday, 19 October, featured entries from across the county. Thousands of people watched, lining the streets of the town from Tangier all the way to East Reach. 

Class Entry Results

Class 1 Feature: 1st – Harlequinn CC, Pinball, The Taunton Hospital Cup; 2nd – Gemini CC, Rock & Roll Train; 3rd – Sid Vale CC, What a Show.

Class 3 Comic: 1st – Nunsford Nutters, NEE NAW, The Edwards Cup; 2nd – Who’s Hungry, One + One CC; 3rd – Honiton Young Farmers, Pull the Plug.

Class 4 Youth: 1st – Rubalo JCC, Birds of Paradise, The Taunton Cider Cup; 2nd – Next Generation JCC, Bugsy Malone; 3rd – Pickle CC, Pickle Gone Fishing.

Class 5 Open: 1st – Zem CC, Master of the House, The Vic Ellis Cup; 2nd – Chard Carnival Royalty.

Class 6 Single Walking (Adult): 1st – Jacks CC, Ragtime, The Silver Street Motors Company; 2nd -  Tizzys CC, Carnival of Colour; 3rd – Spirit CC, Treasures of the Deep.

Class 7 Single Walking (Juvenile): 1st – Jiggle Junior CC, Steampunk Pirate, The Broom Centre Cup; 2nd - Flynn Newbery, Clowntastic.

Class 8 Pair Walking: 1st – Dee Gees CC, Send in the Clowns, The Carr & Quick Cup; 2nd - A & A CC, The Time Machine; 3rd – Ruth and Rio Welsh, Animatronics.

Class 9 Group Walking: 1st – Wellington Pantomime Group, Jack & the Beanstalk, The Tesco Cup; 2nd – Taunton Beats; 3rd – Wellington and Taunton YFC, Young Farmers’ Farmyard.

Class 10 Traders: 1st – Tacchi Morris Arts Centre, Cinderella, The Van Heusen Cup; 2nd – Berry’s Coaches; 3rd – Blakes Coaches.

Class 11 Majorettes: 1st – Ilchester Gem Majorettes, Taunton Carnival Cup; 2nd – Merriott Majorettes; 3rd – Chard Evolution Majorettes.

Class 12 Walking: 1st – Bubbles CC, Egyptopia, Taunton Carnival Trophy
