POLICE have detected a motorist driving at 103mph in a 50mph zone near Taunton.
Officers from the Road Safety Enforcement Team detected the driver in Thurloxton as part of their Fatal 5 operation.
An Avon and Somerset Police spokesperson said: “Another recent example from our Road Safety (#Fatal5) Enforcement Team.
“This time in a 50mph site at Thurloxton, near Taunton.
“A site that has already had the speed limit reduced due to serious injury collisions. yet drivers still put them and others at risk due to the high speeds.”
