A RURAL pub near Taunton got new owners last month after over 10 years of previous ownership.
Officially a family-run establishment, the Allerford Inn was taken over by Shane and Abi Fisher in September this year.
In a statement posted via Facebook, it was announced former owners Tim and Tom Adams were “handing over the reins to a new team”.
The Allerford Inn is described by many as a “gorgeous country pub” in Norton Fitzwarren.
The pub is continuing to serve its locals and new customers by keeping the tradition of having the carvery available every Sunday.
The Allerford Inn is a top spot for wedding receptions, with bookings able to be made by contacting the pub.
Last month, after the change of ownership was confirmed, it was also confirmed that the staff, suppliers and food at the Allerford Inn will remain the same.
The pub is also hosting events almost every week alongside their "famous carvery."
Speaking about how their pub is getting on, the owners at the Allerford Inn said: "A Big Thank You.
"Now that we have been here a little over a month, we just wanted to thank everyone for the support we have received since being here.
"A huge thank you to all of our amazing staff who have tirelessly helped us settle into this environment. You are all amazing and we are very lucky to have such an incredible team.
"Thank you to our families and friends for supporting us and helping us whenever they are needed.
"The biggest thank you to the local community and all of the loyal customers of The Allerford Inn. It's been so lovely to meet hundreds of people with wonderful stories and opinions of this amazing place.
"All our love, Shane, Abi, David and Joe (and our families)."
You can find the Allerford Inn at Norton Fitzwarren, Taunton, TA4 1AL.
