WHITE foam has entirely filled the fountain at Vivary Park in Taunton.
The fountain’s entire lower basin was filled with large volumes of foam, on Thursday, October 24. Strong winds have blown segments of foam across the park, much to the enjoyment of children.
One passer-by, who wished to remain anonymous, said: “I’ve lived in Taunton all my life and I’ve never seen anything like it. I was just passing through from my exercise class, where some of the other people said that foam had been rising from the fountain. I just had to come and have a look.”
“Apparently the volume of foam was much higher earlier in the day. At least the children are enjoying it. I do hope it is washing up liquid!”
Vivary Park’s fountain, which dates from 1906 to commemorate Queen Victoria, underwent a full restoration in July 2023.
