A BOLLARD standing in front of a business in Taunton has been given a unique look this month.

The "wonky bollard" has always looked out of place in Taunton's independent quarter.

That is until Sandy Thomas decided to give it a bit of TLC and warmth over the winter months.

Starting up last year, Sandy Thomas has been yarn bombing the bollard since the summer of 2023.

Sandy Thomas also sells her crocheted makes within Rocket and Bird, which resides in Taunton's Independent Quarter.

The Rocket and Bird is a unique gift shop offering a selection of original and "high quality" products created by Somerset Makers and Artists.Susie Thomas, the owner of Rocket and Bird, is also the daughter of the creator of the Wonky Bollard's new look, Sandy Thomas.

Speaking about the new look bollard, Susie Thomas, owner of Rocket and Bird said: "She's done it again!!!!

"Mum has created another brilliant crocheted yarn bomb creation to bring the 'wonky bollard' back to life…just in time for the half-term holidays!!

"There is so much to see within this one, do pop by and have a good look for yourselves..here are a few photos but there is so much more to find!

"Thank you SO much mum for all your hard work…these amazing creations really do make people smile and brighten up the area so much…thank you also to Dad for helping with the attaching. I am very lucky to have such awesome parents!

"Sadly the top bit won’t be available as an actual hat as modelled by me but I did enjoy the moment""
