SOMERSET'S biggest town has made it into a list of the "luckiest destinations" in the UK, with only a few destinations beating it out to be crowned "the luckiest."
According to a popular social media page called MapMystery, Taunton is ranked 5th out of all the towns and cities in the UK for having the best chance of winning a lottery jackpot.
The Somerset town of Taunton averages 38.4 wins per 10,000 households.
MapMstery is a social media account with almost 100,000 followers across various platforms.
The channel produces daily city/town top 5 facts and figures.
Another South West destination that makes the list in third place is Exeter, the Devon city averages 40.76 wins per 10,000 households.
The other UK destinations that are confirmed to be the luckiest and made the list of the top five luckiest destinations in the UK include Lancaster and Shrewsbury.
But the number one spot for the luckiest town in the UK, with a whopping 42.1 postcode lottery winners for every 10,000 households, goes to Telford, near Wolverhampton.
