A PUB near Taunton got new owners last month and have revealed how they are getting on after giving their pub a makeover.

The Ruishton Inn, near Taunton, got a complete makeover over the last couple of months in the build up to a grand opening on October 9.

Now co-owned by owners Delwyn and Anthony, the whole interior of the Ruishton Inn was redecorated, with the pub "needing a new look" with the walls getting a fresh coating of paint.

The pub is known as a traditional country village pub located just 2 minutes from junction 25 of the M5 with ample parking in an off-road private car park.

The Ruishton Inn offers a 10% discount off your total bill with a valid blue light card.

The drinking spot has planned a variety of upcoming events including a Halloween-themed party later this month and West End performers, who will perform a live Christmas show.

Some of the Ruishton Inn's regular beers include Wadworth Henry's IPA, Wadworth 6X, and Wadworth Swordfish.

Speaking after their opening night this month, a spokesperson from the Ruishton Inn said: "We opened up earlier this month (October 9) and the opening night was a huge success.

"It was absolutely rammed all evening and we have been extremely busy ever since!

"Our Assistant Manager, Connor, has been busy organising Open Mic, Quiz and many more events, which we will be hosting over the coming months.

"We have booked in some singers from the west end who are coming down to The Ruishton Inn for a special Christmas party at the end of December.

"They are fantastic!"
