A STRICTLY favourite this year, Chris McCausland is coming to Somerset as part of a stand-up tour.
The comedian has listed multiple Somerset venues in his 2025 Yonks in the Making tour including Westlands, Yeovil, The Regal in Minehead, The Playhouse Theatre in Weston, The Brewhouse in Taunton, and more.
McCausland is blind and lost his sight when he was 22 due to a hereditary condition called retinitis pigmentosa.
After nearly landing a job at MI5 and working in sales, Chris soon embarked on a career as a stand-up.
He then tried his hand at comedy during a new act comedy night in 2003 and was soon spotted for his humour after winning the Jongleurs J2O Last Laugh competition, before gaining recognition in other competitions.
Chris has been on TV over the last couple of years, and is known for his role as Rudi in the CBeebies show, 'Me Too!'
The 47-year-old comedian has impressed this year after performing on BBC's Strictly Come Dancing.
The comedian is the show's first blind contestant and has been paired up with Australian professional partner, Dianne Buswell.
Despite adversity, Chris is listed as one of the favourites to win the dancing competition this year.
If you want to see Chris live, he is performing twice in Taunton as part of his Somerset tour next year.
Tickets are available now, with Chris in Taunton for two shows on October 11.
Speaking about the upcoming show, a spokesperson at the Taunton Brewhouse said: "You've probably seen him on Would I Lie to You, Have I Got News for You, The Royal Variety, QI, Blankety Blank, The Last Leg, and tons more as well.
"He's been called an 'overnight success' - Even though he's been a stand-up for twenty years now.
"Chris McCausland is hitting the road again with another masterclass in stand-up comedy that has literally been yonks in the making.
"The last tour was a sell-out so get your tickets now!"
