A temporary road closure has been announced for Easton Lane.
The closure, which affects the route between Evercreech and Pylle, will be in place for six hours on Monday, November 4.
It is to allow Openreach to carry out replacement pole works.
The closure will be from the junction with the A37 (Fosse Way) eastwards for 2,081 metres.
Somerset Council has made the order using its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The council has advised checking one.network for information about alternative routes.
To view closures more than two weeks ahead, people need to register on the site for free.
For more information about the works, people can contact Sunbelt Rentals on 0370 050 0792, quoting reference number ttro876572E.
The council has stated the order is needed because works are being done on or near the road, and to prevent the likelihood of danger to the public or serious damage to the road.
All this was revealed in a public notice posted on the Public Notice Portal on Thursday, October 31.
